Humphrey Wattanga, New York, New York

Humphrey Wattanga stayed in Nairobi to complete his education and got a very high score in the national exams.  He later went on to complete his degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University and then went to the prestigous Wharton School of Business. He attended the Global Knowledge 97 as one of the 500 scholarship participants invited and funded by the World Bank.  On May 8, 2000 he became the first recipient of the  HOPE Unity Award scholarship, a $50,000 scholarship to a student of Princess Noor’s choosing.    At last report he was working in for a research firm in New York and Tokyo.
