Minda Magero is a Renaissance Woman with a variety of passions. She enjoys telling stories through writing, performance, and art. Minda’s love for words at a young age matured into a passion for writing. Her writing has been deeply informed by her experiences in Kenya and abroad. Among her early literary influences are African writers such as Marjorie Oludhe-MacGoye, Okot P’bitek and Grace Ogot, and American ones such as Susan Lenzkes.
Minda published her first collection of poetry, ‘The Book of Mysteries’, in 2008 and is currently completing her second book. In summer 2013, she took her poetry on the road around the U.S., performing at 18 locations between Los Angeles and New York. She loves to travel and experience new cultures.
